WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1
During this Black History Month, give thanks for the gifts of people who are of African descent.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2
Pray for the youth of Malawi who are in the process of obtaining visas, so that they can join youth from all across Canada at Canada Youth 2012 this summer.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3
Pray for the congregations of Galilee Korean Presbyterian Church and Central Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, BC, as they work together in creative ministry.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4
Pray for our partners in Malawi and the numerous economic, social, political and other challenges that they continue to face.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5
PWS&D Sunday

Pray for the work of Presbyterian World Service & Development as it works with communities in developing countries to overcome poverty and build futures of hope.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6
Give thanks for those who provide remedial assistance to women and children in Gaza.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Pray for Canadian Forces members who are suffering from physical, emotional or spiritual illness.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8
Give thanks for those who serve on the Council Executive of the Women's Missionary Society. May they be wise and forward-thinking in their decisions.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9
Pray for interim moderators and search committees. May God guide them to fulfill their responsibilities faithfully, wisely and thoroughly.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10
Pray for leaders of our colleges as they meet together to discuss common issues in theological education.

Pray for The Rev. Ruth Houtby as she begins Regional Staff ministry in the Synod of the Atlantic Provinces.

Pray for local congregational leaders. Encourage, embolden and sustain them for the tasks to be done.

Pray for inspiration and fruitful labour for students at our theological colleges who are on their reading week.

Pray for those who are in marriages - let them continue to love one another with respect and joy.

Pray for Presbyterian World Service & Development partners in Afghanistan who are working to improve health care for pregnant women and new mothers.

Pray for The Rev. Will Ingram who is our representative on the World Council of Churches Central Committee and The Rev. Mary Fontaine who serves on the Executive Committee of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.

Celebrate with our Canadian Forces members who are welcoming the birth of a new child, announcing a marriage engagement, or receiving a loved one back home from a deployment.

Pray for International Ministries overseas staff: the newly appointed, those beginning renewed terms and those who are in a state of transition.

Give thanks for the many saints who have influenced and shaped your faith over the years, even long before you were born.

World Day for Social Justice

Give thanks for Presbyterians who support KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives as they work to build the realm of God by supporting peacemaking initiatives, upholding human rights and caring for creation.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21
Pray for village health volunteers in India as they teach their communities new skills in hygiene, health and education with support from Presbyterian World Service & Development.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22
Ash Wednesday

Pray for presbyteries that they may do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23
Pray for staff at our national church office as they work to support congregations, presbyteries and synods in their various ministries.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24
Pray for The Rev. H. Douglas Crocker who serves as the convenor of the ministry team of the Presbytery of Barrie.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25
Pray for those who volunteer in youth organizations. Give them confidence, courage and compassion to serve in Jesus' name.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26
1st Sunday in Lent

Pray for refugees facing new beginnings in Canada with the support of Canadian congregations and Presbyterian World Service & Development.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Pray for Jo Morris, Jeffrey Crawford, Mary Janet Bisset and all the members of the Canada Youth 2012 planning team as they continue to discern God's leading for the July conference.

Pray for the families of our International Ministries overseas staff. Give thanks for their supportive role.
